We are part of the decentralized international movement, Extinction Rebellion. Groups can form and operate as Generation Rebellion as long as they align with the Generation Rebellion principles and demands. They may seek advice from other parts of the movement, but they operate autonomously and do not need permission to act.

We engage in non-violent, civil disobedience by teenagers (adults can participate as allies), in view of the extreme horror of what is in store if carbon emissions are not stopped and systemic change is not enacted in the face of ecological breakdown.

We are all crew: There is no pressure at any time for any young person in the network to be involved in arrestable action. There is no difference in value given to those risking arrest and those participating in other roles in the action.

We are non-anthropocentric: We fight for the life and health of all species and ecosystems, and appreciate the equal value in all life forms.

We openly challenge ourselves and this toxic system: We recognize our inherent biases and privilege and work to become more educated in order to take action for change.

We value reflecting and learning: We follow a cycle of action, reflection, learning, and planning for more action. We take time to learn from other movements and partners as well as our own experiences.

Everyone is welcome, everyone is needed. We accept our individual differences and backgrounds and acknowledge the benefits this diversity brings to our work. We are committed to creating a regenerative culture which is healthy, resilient and adaptable and to learn and grow together and as individuals.

We focus on systemic change: We target corporations, industries, and government rather than blaming or shaming individual behavior.
9)
We do not condone discrimination or toxic behavior within our movement or from our movement targeted towards others.
10)
We are based on self-organisation and responsibility: Things will only happen if we make them happen individually and as collective groups. We are an alliance of the willing, anyone may join or organize an action if it aligns with our principles and demands.
